Hello

My name is Emily! My entire life I have had a passion for books, reading, writing, and anything to do with creative design. I had no idea at a young age that I could make a career out of all of these! I am a Radford University alum who majored in English with a concentration in professional and technical writing. I am also a graduate of the New York University School of Professional Studies Summer Publishing Institute (SPI) (2022).

I am currently continuing my career by working in higher education as Assistant Director of Communications and Marketing in the Virginia Tech College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences. I love my role so much because I get to do what I love every day! Because I love the work I do, I also enjoy freelancing on the side in areas involving digital media, content creation, editing, proofreading, technical writing, web design, marketing, and anything creative! 

 

I am currently working towards my master's degree in English at Virginia Tech and am excited to continue my education and career, finding new opportunities that excite me and that I can contribute my skills to.

I have had many opportunities so far in my professional journey that will prove beneficial in many areas of work that I may have in the present and future.
